It’s no secret that in order to reach the young voters, you have to meet them where they are. Social media has become an intricate part in this election cycle; everyone in politics knows the importance of Twitter and Facebook. With such a heavy focus on social media, telephone outreach has become neglected. The Obama administration has used teleconferencing thorough this campaign and Thursday the First Lady will revisit this outreach method. Michelle Obama has teamed up with Greater Together: Young Americans for Obama to coordinate a conference call with college students.

Topics to be discussed will be centered on:

• How students can get involved in the campaign
•  Available election-related summer opportunities
• President Obama’s accomplishments for Young Americans

The importance of young people to an election is obvious; we are a movement of our own. The Obama administration is working hard to spearhead that movement this election cycle.
