Talk Radio Show host Rush Limbaugh is back at it again, desperately seeking attention (or ratings) with his disrespectul and sexist comments to Sandra Fluke a Georgetown University Law Student.

Limbaugh true to his extremely ridiculous form, called Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute” on air because she publicly spoke out in support of President Obama’s healthcare policies that will make free contraception available to women through their health insurance policies. He did not stop there also accusing Fluke of wanting taxpayers to pay for her sex life, accusing her of having too much sex, while also suggesting that she make a couple of sex tapes and put them online.

Limbaugh has since went on to issue an apology to Fluke stating “In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke…My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.” Could the real reason for his apology be that instantaneously campaigns were lodged to pressure advertisers to stop sponsorship of his show and a few of them did? Not only did it leave a bad taste in advertisers mouths but even ultra-conservative Speaker of the House John Boehner commented on the inappropriateness of Limbaugh’s statement.

For a 61 year old man like Limbaugh to not exercise decency by using a filter for his filthy mouth and defame the character of a young woman who was simply voicing her opinions for a cause she believed in without speaking ill of others, showcases his lack of self-respect let alone his view of women and anyone who doesn’t agree with the same policy ideals as he.

Should this be a case of forgive and forget or should further action be taken? Are these type of  ”jokes” permissible?  Spill the beans and leave your thoughts below…
