Over the weekend President Obama allowed MTV studios and host Sway (@RealSway) into his crib, or at the East Wing of the White House for a one-on-one interview that was geared towards young voters and there issues. The 30 minute segment featured Sway asking the President specific questions from polled audiences of MTV viewers. The questions ranged from economic concerns that deal with higher education financial aid to concerns about global climate control matters. President Obama stayed very consistent with his perspective on all the major issues and explained as to the economy, once again,...

In the home stretch of one of the most critical elections of our generation, political candidates must walk a fine line to win the hearts and votes of undecided American voters. Earlier this week, Republican Senatorial Candidate Richard Mourdock, expressed his opinion regarding abortion during an intense final debate with Democratic Congressman Joe Donelly and Libertarian candidate Andrew Horning. Mourdock stated that pregnancies resulting from rape are "something that God intended to happen," and then went back to clarify that he felt rape was a "horrible situation." (Not sure if that is the moment...

Although he went down a couple of points in national polls today, President Obama is kicking the week off fighting back with new campaign ads to target critical voter demographics. Piggy backing off of last weeks debate comments from Governor Romney regarding getting rid of the PBS channel. President Obama has enlisted the help of everyone's childhood friend Big Bird in a recent ad! After Romney's comments the internet has been in an uproar about getting rid of Big Bird... (just heartless). Some of the featured athletes in the campaign videos  include Alonzo Mourning, Juwan Howard, and Dahntay...

Last night the Democratic National Convention came to a close with a powerhouse speech from President Barack Obama. The President approached the stage with the popular Barack-esque demeanor, and a different attitude. The President made subtle jabs at Mitt Romney's lack of foreign policy experience, and his stance related to women's rights. One line that stood out in his speech, was his reference to his failures during his term.  It's not often, we hear President's admit mistakes; in fact it is almost foreign to us. In the same breath, the President spoke of the accomplishments of his term...

We all knew she played for "the other team" but most people would've assumed that when that phrase was mentioned in the same sentence as Nicki Minaj, it would relate to her bi-sexual orientation not her political affiliation. Nicki's rap mentor and boss Lil Wayne dropped his highly-anticipated Dedication 4 and instead of discussion of Wayne's metaphors, the whole internet is buzzing about Nicki's lyrics on the Mercy remix, which is she and Wayne's rendition of Kanye West's hit single Mercy. The lyrics in question feature Nicki saying "I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney You lazy b*tches...

The President that everyone either loved or hated because of his extracirricular activities in the White House, is taking his celebrity to prime time in support of President Barack Obama. The Obama re-election campaign has dropped a television ad featuring former President Bill Clinton, in recognition of the the "Clear Choice" in this 2012 Presidential Race. With a short mix between praise and pushing his agenda forward President Clinton is full blown #teamObama. Not a bad person to have in your corner considering our nation was in a surplus during both of his terms. The ad will air in the following...

Women and the issues surrounding them are at the forefront of the 2012 Presidential Election and the men who are running for office are taking heed to this fact. Now reports have circulated that the woman vying for her spot in the White House, Ann Romney is following suit and kicking off the Republican National Convention next week in Tampa, FL. The fight for LGBT rights is like the current day Civil Rights Movement and also a buzzing hot topic in the 2012 Presidential Election. Ever since President Obama made his public declaration for supporting Gay Marriage earlier this year, Right-Wing Conservatives have been just as vocal about their views against it. A seemingly growing minority, it is estimated that 3.8% of the United States Population are homosexual (according to a UCLA Williams Institute Study). That being said, the support of this particular population is increasingly important to politicians, especially in the Presidential...

With just shy of 100 days left until one of the most critical elections of the lifetime, the mainstream media is making their predictions that Black people won't be be showing up in strong numbers to the polls in November just like we didn't in 2004. Worddddd????? This opinion derives from issues such as  New Voter ID Laws that have been implemented in states such as Texas and Pennsylvania, the Black unemployment rate that is currently above national averages and also the trend over the last 20 years of Blacks simply not exercising their right to vote. Those stats are all sad but unfortunately...
