With just shy of 48 hours until Election Day the stakes are high and both camps are tense as the last push for winning the 2012 Presidential Election is made. Mainstream publications such as CNN, Politico and MSNBC give reports of a 49%-49% tie in Battleground states with 53% of women stating they plan on supporting the President. If you subscribe to barackobama.com or any major Democratic P.A.C. website you can attest to emails stating that in the final quarter of this race President Obama was outraised, millions of dollars by the Romney campaign. Making him more heavily dependent on his machine...

And the winner is… The presidential debate was nothing short of interesting. In one corner you had an aggressive Mitt Romney and in the other corner you had a cool, calm, and collected President Barack Obama. There was a great distinction between the two candidates throughout the night. The hot topics of the evening were jobs, the economy, healthcare, and taxes. The debate opened with President Obama wishing the First lady a Happy Anniversary. The president displayed his trademark calming nature throughout the debate. Both parties went back and forward as expected, their time limits...

It is the aftermath of both the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention. The conventions were highlighted by great speeches, celebrity appearances, and conversations with ghosts. Nonetheless, new polls have been released showing President Obama is the favorite for this upcoming election. It was predicted; this race between Mitt Romney and President Obama would remain neck and neck until Election Day.  We are currently witnessing a divide being made between the two. What’s the reason for this? The conventions undoubtedly, gave both candidates an opportunity...

Democrats from all over the country have gathered in Charlotte, NC this week to kick off the Democratic National Convention. Getting straight to the point and highlighting the strength of the party, Tuesday featured some heavy hitters to get voters fired up! From the Call to Order by Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz at 5pm the show got started and the star players got it going. Former CBC Chair Congresswoman Barbara Lee gave remarks and Newark Mayor Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) took the platform. The President that everyone either loved or hated because of his extracirricular activities in the White House, is taking his celebrity to prime time in support of President Barack Obama. The Obama re-election campaign has dropped a television ad featuring former President Bill Clinton, in recognition of the the "Clear Choice" in this 2012 Presidential Race. With a short mix between praise and pushing his agenda forward President Clinton is full blown #teamObama. Not a bad person to have in your corner considering our nation was in a surplus during both of his terms. The ad will air in the following...

As we're sure you've all heard of by now, GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney delivered a speech at the NAACP National Convention in Houston, TX last week. Considering his ultimate goal is to be the President, Romney is taking  steps to connect with black voters and the NAACP Convention was the first step. Many attendees at the convention, noted that Mitt lacked the finesse of a true orator often speaking in a tone that duplicated that of a teacher to his students. He also didn't win any points as he was booed three times during his time at the podium. Those highlights included when he vowed...

The expenses of the presidential campaign continue to climb higher and higher.  The latest numbers show Mitt Romney out raising President Obama in May by  $17 million.  During the month of June, Mitt Romney’s campaign raised more than $100 million, a record number for any one-month of a Republican campaign.   The sources of Romney’s support includes new donors of varying states such as New York, Colorado, New Jersey, Michigan, and Ohio.  President Obama’s campaign spent little time before notifying the public of this. Through campaign emails and social media, the Obama campaign...

by: Junious Williams IV With student loan debt surpassing credit card debt as the number one cause of debt in this country, Barack Obama has a plan to help college students. Obama’s plan is two sided: 1) More favorable terms on special loan repayment programs based on income called Income-based Repayment of Loans. 2) Encourage graduates with two or more different kinds of federal loans to consolidate them and get a small break on interest rates. How Income-based Repayment of Loans currently works is the graduate is charged 15% of their discretionary income, with debt forgiven after...

“Who gon stop me? No brakes, I need State Farm So many watches I need eight arms, One neck but got eight charms (who gon stop me huh?)” The above is the lyrics of one of Jay Z and Kanye West's most spirited tracks, on the "Watch the Throne" album. The track titled, “Who Gon Stop Me” is a song about being indestructible, proceeding full force, and taking the advice of those that have come before you. The U.S. throne has been occupied by 44 different individuals, all of which have been men. Three women have targeted the ‘Throne,’ but one seems to have what the others didn’t. Michele...
