Last night the Democratic National Convention came to a close with a powerhouse speech from President Barack Obama. The President approached the stage with the popular Barack-esque demeanor, and a different attitude. The President made subtle jabs at Mitt Romney's lack of foreign policy experience, and his stance related to women's rights. "Let's play the blame game, I hate you more"... though Kanye was speaking about the blame game in romantic relationships, the same can be said about Members of Congress with opposing views. Most recently, House Speaker John Boehner once again threatened that Republicans would not vote to increase the debt ceiling unless Democrats agreed to certain tax and spending policies sought by the GOP. Do you remember the days when gas cost $1.25 per gallon? For some of us that is a distant memory compared to the very present reality that is gas prices today.  Over the last week gas prices have increased an approximately of $.50 across the nation and Americans regardless of party affliation aren't receiving it with open arms. Some people are attempting to find creative ways to curb the blow using member points for cents off or utilizing websites like www.gasbuddy.com to find the lowest prices in their area.
