Texas Voter ID: The Return of Jim Crow?

If you live in Texas, there is no way to avoid hearing about newly drafted voter id laws. The law mentioned would require a valid state identification card for anyone who is casting a ballot in the election. Supporters believe this will prevent voter fraud and opponents believe this is a tactic to discourage young and minority voters.  Wisconsin, Michigan, and South Carolina are a few other states that have found themselves in midst of similar debate. You may have seen headlines about the Fast & Furious controversy; this time it isn't another movie featuring Vin Diesel or Ludacris. This controversy is surrounding Attorney General Eric Holder. Yesterday a house committee voted to hold Holder in contempt of Congress, in relation to his failure to turnover sensitive documents in connection with a weapons sting titled "Fast and Furious".
