The “Ricks” are having the worst week ever! Tuesday night was the New Hampshire primary. After the close and game-changing results of the Iowa caucus, I couldn’t wait to see the results of this primary. The winner of the primary was Mitt Romney, not much of a surprise there. In second place was Ron Paul. Where did Rick Santorum land in this primary? After such a great victory in Iowa, you might expect him to do well. Quite the contrary, Santorum found himself in the back of the pack, in fifth place. Santorum’s campaign spent 5 days in New Hampshire, a move that many strategists are calling...

The votes are in and there were definitely a few surprises. Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney ended the Iowa caucus pretty much in a tie. Romney ended with a 8 vote lead over Santorum. The most popular words in the media right now are, “Iowa caucus.” You can’t open a newspaper or browse the internet without seeing those two words plastered somewhere. So what is the Iowa caucus? Why is it so important? A caucus is a meeting of supporters for a mutual political party. The party involved in this caucus is the Republican Party. The Iowa caucus marks the official beginning of the 2012 Presidential election, hence its importance. From the Iowa caucus, selected delegates contribute to choosing the delegates for the Republican National Convention. It is then at the Republican...

With the Iowa caucus just one week away, GOP Presidential hopefuls are pulling out all the stops to target conservative voters in the Hawkeye State. The two veterans of the group Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich, were at odds with one another over the Christmas break. Over the past week, both men experienced negative press that could potentially hurt their chances with voters. In an effort to deter the public from his "spanish is the language of the ghetto" comments, Gingrich came straight for Paul this weekend. Gingrich criticized Paul's knowledge of National Security stating that he is "the only...
