Tuesday night things got heated in the Big Apple as round two of the Presidential Debates took place. With just twenty-one days until the election President Obama and Governor Romney went head to head in a town hall style forum, addressing the voters questions that ranged from the economy and foreign affairs to job outsourcing and beyond. Candy Crowley served as moderator and ensured that each man got adequate time to speak and also that the FACTS were on the record. Multiple times Crowley had to bring Gov. Romney back to the question at hand, for example when asked about guns and local violence,...

If you're #TeamObama you probably received an email yesterday evening from none other than Queen B a.k.a Beyonce Knowles! Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are hosting a campaign fundraiser for President Obama (date still to be determined) at Jay's 40/40 Club in New York. Can you imagine popping bottles with Hip Hop Royalty and the President?!? The invite email required you to make a donation and be entered into a drawing that would cover airfare and hotel and even allow you to bring a guest to the event; not to shabby! As we previously posted, the Carters aren't the only entertainers supporting...

It was a couple of months ago when the entire nation was engulfed in a story combining politics, sex, and twitter. The Anthony Weiner story gained a great deal of popularity and publicity; the story of a married Congressman sending sexually explicit photos to various females through social networking is not your average chronicle. After brutal and drawn out press coverage, the New York Representative resigned from office. Whenever a congressional member leaves office prior to the end of their term, a special election is held. The district at hand is New York’s 9th Congressional district,...

The topic of same-sex (gay) marriage is a hot topic in our soceity that is often danced around when brought up in conversations with politicians and leaves most people debating their opinions when mentioned at a social gathering. Since the federal government has yet to take an official stance on the issue the decision in regards to legalizing gay marriage is left up to the states. Many states maintain the conservative viewpoint of only honoring marriage between men and women but that tide is slowing changing. Recently Gov. Andrew Cuomo (NY) signed legislation into law that awards gay and lesbian...

If Twitter isn’t popular enough, the ability to twitpic makes creating an account even more attractive. With the capacity to capture moments on your phone at the click of a button, is part of what has defined technology during our generation. We can take pictures of a game-winning jumper or a live performer on stage and publish it for all of our followers to enjoy. Well, that’s the good part of publishing twitpics; what about when twitpics go wrong? United States Congressman Anthony Weiner has admitted to taking a twitpic of himself in underwear and sending the photo to a young female...

#OsamaBinLaden has definitely been one of the most notable trending topics for almost ten years now.  September 11, 2001 marked the fatal attack against the United States on the World Trade Center; and all evidence pointed to Al Qaeda leader and terrorist Osama Bin Laden as the mastermind behind the attacks.  It was reported that a United States bomb killed Osama Bin Laden, and after a thourough DNA analysis it has been proven in fact that body does belong to Bin Laden. In a very somber tone, President Obama delivered an address on Sunday evening, May 1, 2011 reflecting on the lost lives...
