After the major week that was the 2012 Elections, President Obama and the Democrat Majority Senate and Republican Majority House of Representatives have to get back in the swing of things. With the Holiday Season and New Year fastly approaching, deciding which of the highly debated issues facing America today was the first order of business closing out election week. Fox News Political Commentator and Host, Sean Hannity was very vocal in his opinion that Reoublicans should bring immigration issues to the forefront because President Obama received 70% of the miniority and Latino vote. {Maybe...

In the home stretch of one of the most critical elections of our generation, political candidates must walk a fine line to win the hearts and votes of undecided American voters. Earlier this week, Republican Senatorial Candidate Richard Mourdock, expressed his opinion regarding abortion during an intense final debate with Democratic Congressman Joe Donelly and Libertarian candidate Andrew Horning. Mourdock stated that pregnancies resulting from rape are "something that God intended to happen," and then went back to clarify that he felt rape was a "horrible situation." (Not sure if that is the moment...

Tuesday night things got heated in the Big Apple as round two of the Presidential Debates took place. With just twenty-one days until the election President Obama and Governor Romney went head to head in a town hall style forum, addressing the voters questions that ranged from the economy and foreign affairs to job outsourcing and beyond. Candy Crowley served as moderator and ensured that each man got adequate time to speak and also that the FACTS were on the record. Multiple times Crowley had to bring Gov. Romney back to the question at hand, for example when asked about guns and local violence,...

With just shy of 40 days left until the 2012 Presidential Election, the candidates are gearing up for the first Debate to take place on October 3rd. The issues likely to be up for debate are Welfare, Foreign Policy and the Economy. Serious blows have been exchanged between both parties on each of them.  Mitt Romney's Foreign Policy strategist are criticizing President Obama's strategies, suggesting his schedule for bringing troops home in 2014 and claims that the Al Queda organization has been weakened are false. The Romney campaign also assert that American people feel a false sense of security...

If you're #TeamObama you probably received an email yesterday evening from none other than Queen B a.k.a Beyonce Knowles! Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z are hosting a campaign fundraiser for President Obama (date still to be determined) at Jay's 40/40 Club in New York. Can you imagine popping bottles with Hip Hop Royalty and the President?!? The invite email required you to make a donation and be entered into a drawing that would cover airfare and hotel and even allow you to bring a guest to the event; not to shabby! As we previously posted, the Carters aren't the only entertainers supporting...

“Summer’s Mine, Obama still has lead over Romney”

Written by: Neimon James President Obama and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney have been fundraising tough to win what is expected to be a very close election. The President has weathered a tough first term since assuming office in 2009 and is politically vulnerable; Mr. Romney, a skilled businessman and former governor who struggled to clinch the Republican nomination this year will be Obama's most vocal critic as he attempts to win the White House. President Obama however has a numerical advantage over Mr. Romney that almost secures his re-election despite a rocky first term. As...

Powerful black women in entertainment have been making their rounds on the campaign trial lately for the Obama Administration. Our favorite musicians and actresses are using their celebrity and tapping into their fan base to push voting initiatives and to help close the gap in November, ensuring that President Obama gets another term. Recently, Nia Long attended an Obama  Fundraiser and is the cover woman of Essence Magazine this month, where she mentioned that she is doing some traveling and press junkits on behalf of President Obama. She also took to YouTube and created a video professing...

Last week the New York Times released a story that included classified information regarding US military efforts in Iran. In addition to the report in the NY Times there was also a supposed leaking of strategies and action to be taken in Pakistan and Yemen. Of course when this info became news to the public, outrage and allegations as to who was responsible immediately began and many right-wingers are pointing the blame straight towards President Obama. The most notable shade is being thrown by 2008 GOP nominee Senator John McCain. Over the weekend McCain took the airwaves on CNN's "State of the Union"...

On today we honor the millions of brave Americans who have given the ultimate sacrifice, their lives, in an effort to ensure that we live in a country where liberty and justice are free. In most recent years the war in Afghanistan has made the US death toll higher and claimed the lives of our beloved troops. This war that orignated during the Bush Administration with little direction or motive has left a bad taste in mouths of many Americans and this concern hasn't gone unnoticed. During the past four years, President Barack Obama has brought home thousands of troops to advance his plan...
